Our featured venue of the week happens to be Central Florida’s only authentic NY Delicatessen, Pickles NY Deli. Pickles is located at I-4 and SR 434 (1891 W. SR 434) in Longwood Village Plaza, near IOA and Starbucks. They have a very large patio and outdoor stage where musicians often perform (typically Friday and Saturday nights, currently around 6-9 pm). Pickles is well-known for it’s fantastic food and offers a full bar. They usually feature solo performers (though I have seen a group of three on stage!) that are mostly acoustic and family-friendly. The events are always free, and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. You can follow them on Facebook (Pickles NY Deli), or better yet stop by! I usually order one of the awesome ruebens, and it is obvious why their corned beef and pastrami are award-winning!

Musicians looking to play at Pickles can stop by and see Chris or Mike Huska, or by email ([email protected]). This week they feature John Carter on Friday night and Dave Gehlbach on Saturday. Personally, I love the relaxing venue (especially with the nicer temperatures recently!) and the food, and I highly recommend you visit Pickles for some live music and great grub!
